Main responsibilities
- Oversee the tax accounting team, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and timely filings.
- Manage sales tax (or its equivalent across different countries) compliance and guide on tax implications of business decisions.
- Prepare tax provision schedules for financial statements and ensure corporate income tax compliance as well as accurate accounting of deferred tax.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns in jurisdictions the company is active in and maintain documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions and other tax-related activities.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of taxes to provide expert advice on tax planning and optimization opportunities to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Lead the preparation for Pillar II compliance.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, inquiries and notices from tax authorities as well as external company’s auditors to ensure compliance and successful audit outcomes.
- Lead and mentor the tax accounting team, providing mentorship and professional development.
- Encourage team engagement and ensure their involvement in key projects and activities.
- Conduct tax research and stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations, foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the company.
Core requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with at least 1-3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of tax strategies and experience in managing direct and indirect taxes, including sales taxes in different jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of setting up processes and implementing new initiatives in complex organizational environments.
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
Salary range
- Gross Salary 4000-5790 EUR/Month.
