The Finance team at Nord Security consists of ambitious professionals working towards creating a world-class Finance organisation. We’re keen on converting financial data into meaningful information and insights, which we do by automating workflows and analyzing data. The Finance team supports business stakeholders in making decisions, driving strategy, and achieving the lofty goals of an ever-growing unicorn with confidence. Our team owns and executes accounting, controlling, finance systems, data and financial analysis, treasury and procurement functions.
The Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead oversees the day-to-day AP operations, leads AP Accountants, maintains stakeholder relationships, drives efficiency and effectiveness and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and train a team of different seniority AP accountants.
- Assign workload and monitor productivity and performance.
- Conduct onboarding, 1-on-1s, performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment accross entire Finance team.
- Be hands-on operational work of the full AP cycle from invoice submission, coding, posting to payment etc.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and controls, maintain up-to-date AP policies and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiency in AP processes.
- Maintain vendor relationships through responsible requestors and resolve complex invoice discrepancies, vendor issues, escalations.
- Coordinate and ensure quality of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures (accruals, AP subledgers reviews, reconciliations).
- Assist with external audits.
- Prepare AP performance dashboards and reports for management, ensure meeting daily KPIs.
- Assist with AP and other Finance system enhancements, upgrades and implementations.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an AP Team Lead or similar role, preferably managing a high-volume scope in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and other accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
- Experience in implementing AP automated tools or systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Navision/BC is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic circumstances with ease.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Salary Range
- Gross Salary 3500-4600 EUR/Month.
