Nord Security has registered its 100th patent in the US

Nord Security, the developer of NordVPN, NordPass, NordLocker, and NordLayer, achieved an important milestone in innovation development. The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company its 100th patent. All of Nord Security’s patents have been registered in just three years.

Most patents granted to Nord Security relate to the development of virtual private network (VPN) technology and the improvement of the password management tool NordPass.

NordVPN's latest patents are related to new software features introduced last year. The first is Meshnet, which allows direct access to devices anywhere in the world and routes internet traffic through them over encrypted private tunnels. The second is the Threat Protection solution, which protects users against everyday online threats like malware and trackers.

As regards NordPass, recently, the company announced it had developed a solution to securely store and manage passkeys as a part of its ambition to contribute to the passwordless future.
