Main Responsibilities
- Evaluate, mitigate, and provide insights on false positives and false negatives across phishing, malware, and other artifacts, continuously improving detection accuracy for a Threat Protection product.
- Continuously assess and refine internal threat intelligence solution to maximize detection efficiency while minimizing false alerts for users.
- Work alongside Research team and product teams to explore and develop innovative techniques for identifying and preventing threats, optimizing threat protection strategies.
- Stay informed of emerging threats, attack vectors, and cybersecurity technologies, applying new knowledge to existing and future threat detection challenges.
- Discuss with Researcher team & provide your insights from False Positive / False Negative mitigation ways of protecting people from threats and improve NordVPN Threat Protection product.
Core Requirements
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning in the cybersecurity field and the adaptability to quickly understand emerging threats and technologies.
- Ability to analyze and understand phishing, malware, and scam campaigns, identifying key indicators for accurate detection and mitigation.
- Strong ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and findings, with an emphasis on practical recommendations for improving user protection.
- Focused mindset on automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in daily workflows.
- Experience in OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence), tools, and how to use them on daily basis for False Positive, False Negative mitigations.
- Experience in Python (for scripting).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, attack vectors, and common tactics used in phishing, malware, and scam campaigns, particularly as they relate to customers.
- Familiarity with the threat intelligence lifecycle, sources, and methodologies, including best practices for data collection, analysis, and dissemination in a B2C context.
Salary Range
- Monthly gross salary from 2000 to 2700 EUR.
