As a Senior front-end engineer in the Tooling team, you’ll be at the forefront of developing Rivendell, our UI framework that supports web applications across a variety of teams. This position will involve close collaboration with the fellow lead UX designer, tech leads and senior engineers to understand their challenges and deliver a scalable, maintainable, browser-compatible and accessible framework for use across the product.

We work in Kanban and follow a modular approach to building components.

Our team consists of a lead backend engineer, a senior frontend engineer, and a lead UX designer. In the upcoming future, the team will expand to include lead and senior backend engineers, two senior frontend engineers, and a lead UX designer. While the backend and frontend teams primarily work independently, you will primarily collaborate with the frontend engineers and the lead UX designer.

Tech skills you’ll bring into the team:

  • Deep and high-quality UI engineering background, which standardly means at least 5 years of proven commercial front end experience (preferably in a dynamic product environment);
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript and React;
  • While you will focus primarily on the UI framework development, you should be also comfortable working across the stack when needed (nodejs, docker)
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked on building a UI framework.
