What You Will Do

  • Analyze, propose and manage budgets, technologies, and resources for deliveries;
  • Plan strategies for the development of designs and products on schedule and on budget;
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders;
  • Together with other Engineering Managers and the Head of Development align the processes used within the Tribe;
  • Help team with cloud-native (AWS) solutions, architecture, and migration covering deep technical aspects of the implementation;
  • Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed;
  • Prioritize, delegate and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables;
  • Manage, support, and evaluate engineers’ performance;
  • Track engineering metrics and quality within the squad and strive to improve them;
  • Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities;
  • Contribute to processes and tooling improvements (releases, issues, sentry, autofill bugs, for example);
  • Help the team to identify technical debt and issues that reduce productivity;
  • Define and maintain internal standards such as code style, maintainability, scalability, and testability;
  • Contribute to and drive product architecture;
  • Consult PO(s) and team members on the best technical/available solution for the problem;
  • Share business requirements with a squad.

What We Expect

  • Deep hands-on technical expertise in mobile and web technologies;
  • Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test-driven development;
  • Software development experience in building web services and highly scalable applications;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Managed a team of 10+ engineers;
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations;
  • Experience working with AWS services.
